The BioWave 600 is the largest available production-scale model with a maximum working volume of 300L. The unit is equipped with various monitoring functions.

The system is operated using a rotating colour touch-screen panel mounted on a separate mobile electrical cabinet. The unit is easy to transport thanks to its four casters. The variable tilt angle of the tank makes sampling and harvesting easier.
The BioWave® 600SPS is a disposable bioreactor for high through-put screening and process development for a large range of cell culture applications such as human, animal, bacteria and plant cells.

The unique design based on a disposable Wave Bag® reactor and the mechanical rocking (agitation) unit, creating wave induced motion in order to achieve the desired degree of mixing and oxygen transfer. That includes gas, feed and monitoring control of temperature.

The system is available with 600 L Wave Bag for culture volume starting from 25 L up to 300 L. The key feature of this system is the replication of results obtained using smaller scale BioWave® systems, which enables fast scale up. This is achieved through a careful design of low fluid shear wave induced motion (WIM), excellent gas transfer, pH and DO monitoring and control.

Sterilisation of the system is not necessary as the disposable reactor chambers (Wave Bag®) are supplied presterilized through gamma irradiation and equipped with feed, harvest and sampling connections as well as sterile filters for gas inlet and outlet
